DIY: how to make knit pants from boyfriend sweater

Inspired by the comfyness of my Ohne Titel tights, I discovered another way to reconstruct an over-sized sweater to the horror of my BF. For this one you will need another one of your boyfriend's over-sized sweaters with long arms (or a thrifted sweater), a pair of scissors and a hand needle or sewing machine. I used a serger.
  1. cut from 1"1/2 inch under the armhole diagonally towards the center front of the neckline. Stop 1/2 an inch from the sweater's neck binding. note: [it's easiest to cut front and back at once; when you are done there should be a visible upside-down "V" shape].
  2. sew center front (front diagonal that you just cute) to center front and center back (back diagonal that you just cut) to center back in one continuous stitch.
  3. the images (I think) illustrates it very well if my directions are bad.
woop there it is! you now have knit pants.

Joe was a little hesitant to give up more sweaters this time, but i think he liked the results.
